Whether those are your cup of tea or you’re more about traveling, all those things and more can become a reality thanks to the longstanding batteries of the FAA approved Oxlife Independence.

Convenient Charging Features

  • AC Power Supply
  • DC Power Supply
  • Optional External Battery Charger

With the Oxlife Independence you aren’t confined to a singular at home charging solution, instead you have options.

The AC power supply will be perfect for days you are at home, allowing for you to plug the unit into a power outlet and operate the machine on all settings from there while saving and recharging the batteries.

When charging your batteries with the AC supply, a single battery will charge in up to 1.5 hours or dual batteries will charge in up to 2.5 hours with the unit off. Using the machine during charging will increase the time it takes to charge.

If you are ever out running errands and your batteries dies, you can power and even charge the Oxlife on certain settings through the cigarette lighter outlet in your car with the DC power supply.

All pulse flow settings work but will only charge on settings up to 4. All continuous settings will operate with the DC supply, however only up to a setting of 2 LPM will charge.

The DC power supply also lacks the bulky and heavy power bricks that other units have, making it ideal to take with your wherever you go.

Purchasing extra batteries is always recommended, especially if you plan on traveling. The Oxlife external battery charger gives you the ability to receive your supplemental oxygen while your additional batteries charge on the side.

Allowing for a smooth and quick swap of batteries so you don’t miss a dose of oxygen. The external charger is capable of charging one battery at a time in 4-8 hours.

Stay on Top of Charging

Wondering how much charge your batteries have? You can either check the control panel battery gauge, or each battery has a built-in gauge of its own on the top of it.

Simply press the “push” button and it will display the remaining battery life to the nearest 25% increment.

Reliability through Durability

OxLife Independence Built-in Travel CartYou won’t ever have to worry about the Oxlife Independence falling apart on you while you are out and about, as it is enclosed in a durable magnesium casing it is protected from bumps and dings that can occur through basic daily usage.

Plus the durable casing was engineered with a built-in wheeled travel cart with a handle that folds up and down, making shopping trips and traveling that much easier.

Additionally, the 6” wheels make puddles and curbs seem like they don’t even exist, while still being able to fit underneath an airplane seat.

Patient Friendly Control Panel

OxLife Independence Control PanelThe Oxlife Independence features a multi-colored LCD screen so visually impaired patients don’t have to strain their eyes to read the screenOperating the control panel is nothing less than simple, offering a large power button, a mode button to easily switch between continuous and pulse settings, and large arrow buttons to adjust your flow rate.

Not only is the control panel easy to use but the LCD screen is always watching out for you, constantly displaying the remaining battery life of one or both batteries so you are always aware of how much battery you have before you go out, allowing for you to better plan and prepare.

The screen will also display the flow and setting you have selected, while also showing flow and purity status so you will know the instant something goes wrong.

Combined Usage with CPAP and BiPAP

Living with a chronic lung disease may not be the only thing you are dealing with, as many COPD patients also suffer from sleep apnea.

Which requires the use of a CPAP or BiPAP machine at night. Oxygen therapy and sleep apnea treatments used to be separate, but with the Oxlife Independence they can finally coexist, offering the ability to use your CPAP or BiPAP device in congruence with your oxygen therapy.

One Location for Your Oxygen Accessories

Included with the purchase of the Oxlife Independence you will also receive an accessory bag, this way you have one convenient location for all your most important oxygen accessories with room to spare for personal items.

When using the travel cart, the accessory bag will fit around the handle so you can rest the bag on the unit to have all your accessories easily accessible.

1 review for Oxlife Independence Portable Oxygen Concentrator

  1. Debra Crandall

I have had this one for the last 10 mos. I only use it at night so far. It is one that should last a long time and has all the different flow levels anyone should need. This one also has the continuous flow besides the pulse. Most only have the pulse flow.
