The 24-cell battery is the eQuinox’s longest lasting battery, which is ideal for patients with high flow rates, traveling, and times when you know you will be out for an extended period of time.

Weighing in at 3 pounds, the 24-cell battery is smaller and lighter than the spare oxygen tanks you used to bring with you in-case of an emergency.

Compared to the 12-cell battery, the 24-cell battery is exactly twice the weight, but it gets more than double the battery life of the 12-cell battery.

Lifestyle Enhancing Features

Before the eQuinox was released, all of the SeQual portable oxygen concentrators were equipped with a rear-loading battery that was difficult to access and swap out.

With the eQuinox, the 24-cell battery is a front-loading battery which gives you direct access to your battery making it easy to swap out.

Even if you suffer from arthritis in your fingers or hands, swapping batteries should be no problem.

The SeQual eQuinox 24-cell battery is also equipped with a battery life LED indication system.

This is extremely helpful if you have multiple batteries because it allows you to check and see how much of a charge a battery has without installing it in the concentrator, you will no longer have to play the guessing game of which battery is charged.

On the backside of the battery there is a small circular “test” button that when pressed it will illuminate up to 5 LED lights. Each LED light indicates 20% of your battery life. You will no longer have to play the guessing game of which battery is charged.

Recharge Multiple Ways

The 24-cell battery can be charged a total of 3 different ways. It can be charged with the AC power supply, DC power supply, and the SeQual eQuinox external battery charger.

Whether you are at home, in the car, or running errands you have a way to charge the 24-cell battery.

Charging with the AC Power Supply

The AC power supply is generally the most common way patients recharge their 24-cell battery. Simply keep the 24-cell battery installed in the unit and connect the AC power supply to your eQuinox.

The power cord for the AC power supply works with any 110v wall socket, so if you are traveling internationally make sure you have the SeQual eQuinox Universal Power Adapter.

When plugged into the AC power supply, the 24-cell battery will recharge and the eQuinox will supply you with your required oxygen on every pulse flow and continuous flow setting.

Charging with the DC Power Supply

Charging the 24-cell battery using the DC power supply does have some limitations.  On pulse flow settings 1-4 and continuous flow settings 0.5 LPM – 2.0 LPM, the eQuinox will recharge the 24-cell battery and supply you with oxygen simultaneously.

However, if you require a flow rate higher than the designated range stated above, the 24-cell battery will not recharge in the car.

Instead, the DC power supply will power the eQuinox and preserve your remaining battery life. Using the DC power supply is a breeze. Simply plug the DC power supply into the 12V socket or cigarette lighter in your car and connect it to your eQuinox.

Charging with the External Battery Charger

Charge one 24-cell battery at a time without plugging your eQuinox in with the optional SeQual eQuinox external battery charger.

The external battery charger has an AC power cord that can be plugged into any 110v wall socket.

The external charger is ideal for patients with multiple batteries as it allows you to recharge one battery at a time without plugging your eQuinox into the AC or DC power supplies.

Whether have a day full of doctor’s appointments, fishing at your favorite spots, or tending your garden this gives you the freedom to go about your day knowing you have a fully charged battery for you when you get home.

Expected Recharge Time

A battery with a quick recharge time is important, especially if you’re active and traveling. The less downtime the better!

With the 24-cell battery for the eQuinox portable concentrator, the expected recharge time is 1.5 to 3.5 hours to achieve a minimum of 80% capacity.

The recharge time is dependent on if you are using the eQuinox when it’s charging and what flow rate you are using.

If you are using a higher flow rate, it could take the full 3.5 hours.
